Announcements:

  • If you haven’t done so already, please verify you haveaccess the online Collections textbook and notify the teacher if you encounter any issues, so they can be resolved BEFORE electronic assignments are assigned.
  • New rubiks cube icon will signify days we have flexible seating during the work period.

Assignments:

  • Close Readers were collected and scores assigned for the Close Read Questions for “Teenagers and New Technology.”
  • The teacher demonstrated how to complete the mind map in the comp. book for the Collections textbook “Earth (A Gift Shop)” text. (For the specific page number, please use the Authors and Titles index in the back of the book.) To reference the chart demonstrated in class, please refer to the day’s power point
  • During the work period, students also needed to complete the “Teenagers and New Technology” Cause-and-Effect Chart which we started last class.
  • If time allowed, students worked on Achieve 3000: “What’s on Mars?” (BR poll – AR poll) and complete an article analysis sheet (see Achieve 3000 vs. A3K tab above.)

Home Learning:

  • Collections textbook needs to be brought to class daily, until told otherwise.
  • Close Readers need to be brought to class daily.
  • Weekly Choice A3Ks articles due Sunday, regardless of A or B day. For more info, please reference the Achieve 3000 vs. A3K page. Remember this is a regular home learning grade.
  • If not finished in class…
